Plastic is a material that earth cannot digest. Almost every bit of plastic that has ever been created still exists. Single-use disposable plastics are the main source of plastic pollution (bags, straws, cups, coffee steers', tableware).
The charge of this battle is to motivate changes in our daily use of this type of plastic.
The Low Plastic Footprint Eateries initiative increases awareness and reduce plastic waste one eatery at a time.
We are seeking the involvement of local cafes and restaurant to meet an ocean friendly standard. One of the main goals of this battle is to eliminate or significantly reduce plastic waste by targeting single use of disposable plastics (e.g., cups, plates, coffee stirrers, bags), which are also some of the most common items found in the marine environment.
